Yes, I am alive.

Sorry for being MIA for so long. I started doing the stay-at-home dad thing full time a little while ago and it's really thrown my comic schedule for a loop. I do have a new Daring Dodo comic starting over at Sugary Serials though!

Not much more left. I'd been planning on starting a new MacAbb Manor comic when "The Trouble With Poltergeists" ends, but I think I'm going to spend some time on shorter comics instead. I feel like I'm more productive when I'm working on shorter bits.

With "The Trouble With Poltergeists" coming to its conclusion, it's time to make sure I'm ready with the next comic on deck. I still have a lot of work to do on 7 Worlds, so I've decided to start the next MacAbb Manor story. But before I get started on it, I wanted to rework some of the character designs and figure out color schemes since this comic will be in color. Below is some of the work I've done so far:


With Cassie, the main change is I fluffed up her hair, losing the flat tameness it had in "The Trouble With Poltergeists". Now that she's in color, you can see her two different colored eyes and skin color that's sneaking slightly into the greens. Bonehead has undergone a big change and is now brought to life through the marriage of skull and ectoplasm.

A little while back I got the idea of doing a doodle-a-day update where I would sketch some new, weird monster or something every day. Well, that idea kinda evolved into this:

Unusual Peoples of the World and Elsewhere by Archibald MacAbb
It's an encyclopedia of the creatures that inhabit the MacAbb world (and elsewhere), written by one of Cassie's ancestors. I'll try to update new pages from this tome a couple times a week, but I don't want to promise a regular schedule.
